The Taha Power Pack is a new power pack that is designed for the Israeli market.
It is based on the Taha GmbH hydraulic power delivery system, which provides high-voltage power for all electric vehicles (EVs) in Israel.
The Taha T-PACK system, the first to utilize a double-acting hydraulic press jack and hydraulic pump for pumping hydraulic power from the system, will be available on the market later this year, Taha CEO Shai Kishkin told The Jerusalem Press.
The new power-pack system uses a pair of hydraulic pumps to deliver hydraulic power to the battery in the electric vehicle.
The pumps deliver up to 10 kilowatts of power from each hydraulic pump, which are then transmitted to the rear wheel drive motor.
This enables an electric vehicle to drive on paved roads without any need for an additional battery.
The system is designed to operate on a variety of road surfaces and can handle heavy loads, such as off-road driving, while providing a reliable power output of up to 120 kilowatt-hours (kWh) from the hydraulic pumps.
The company expects to sell 500,000 units of the T-pack during the first quarter of 2021.
