NEW DELHI: Taha hydraulic distributors, makers of hydraulic jack and power pack, are to open a factory in New Delhi, the country’s largest industrial hub.
The company said the factory, which will be in the outskirts of the city of Gandhinagar, will produce a total of 2,000,000 units a year, with the first production batch coming in March 2018.
Taha has more than 40 years of experience in the hydraulic jack manufacturing business.
It has been supplying a variety of products to the automotive, industrial and medical industries.
Tahtas production of the jack was already a significant player in the Indian market.
Last year, it signed a Rs 50,000 crore deal with the Indian government to supply the jack to the railways.
Tawadros said the new factory will make the jack for the railway, and is expected to be operational by 2022.
The first production of Taha hydraulic power pack is expected in March 2019, he said.
The new factory, Taha, will employ around 4,000 workers and the first batch of its products will be sold to rail, power and water supply companies.
